Arrest in the Homicide of Trevor Turner

Gatineau, June 22, 2022. – The Service de police de la Ville de Gatineau (SPVG) this afternoon arrested Malcolm Smith, 19 years old, in connection with its investigation into the homicide of Trevor Turner, 22 years old, on May 28, 2022 in Gatineau's Aylmer sector.


Quick facts

Malcolm Smith, a resident of Kitigan Zibi, was arrested on Wednesday, June 22 at around 2 p.m. in the Gatineau sector. He did not resist arrest.
Mr. Smith will appear before the Court of Québec on Thursday, June 23 to answer to a charge of accessory after the fact to the commission of manslaughter.
A little before 2 a.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2022, a 911 call was received concerning a man with a serious upper-body injury in front of 51 rue Court, in Gatineau's Aylmer sector.
The victim, Trevor Turner, a resident of Gatineau, was lying outside the business when the police arrived. Unfortunately, he died of his stab wounds.
The investigation continues, and other arrests should follow.
