Municipal aquatic facilities to reopen in Gatineau

Gatineau, September 3, 2021. – Ville de Gatineau is hereby informing the public that its aquatic facilities are ready to reopen.


Quick facts

Based on the epidemiological investigation conducted by Santé publique, pools and beaches can reopen as of Sunday, September 5.
The public is reminded that the source of the virus was outside of work. In light of the sanitary measures applied in the workplace, Santé publique deems that the risk to the public is very low.

Indoor pools

As of 4 p.m. today, residents can book a swim slot on the Citizen Portal.
There will not be any public swimming from Tuesday to Friday, September 7 to 10, at the Centre sportif due to maintenance work.
Vaccine passports and valid ID are mandatory for anyone aged 13 or over as of September 1.

Beaches

The parc des Cèdres and parc Moussette beaches will be open as usual.
Given the weather forecast, it is recommended that residents check the municipal website before heading over.
The Lac-Beauchamp beach is closed for the season.
