Gatineau asks residents to reduce their use of tap water to a minimum

Gatineau, June 19, 2020. – Ville de Gatineau is asking residents to reduce their use of tap water to a minimum. This restriction applies to part of the Aylmer, Hull and Gatineau sectors, affecting 37,160 individuals. The demand for tap water is unusually high right now. To ensure a stable and steady supply, it is crucial that everyone cooperate.

Anyone living in the affected areas is asked to reduce their use of tap water, particularly between 3 and 9 a.m. and between 6 and 9 p.m. Laundry, baths, showers and the use of dishwashers should be put off to other times of the day. The same goes for watering yards, washing vehicles and filling pools.

Gatineau thanks everyone for their cooperation.
