Tap water advisory for part of the Aylmer sector is maintained
Gatineau, November 15, 2017. – Ville de Gatineau maintains the water advisory for part of the Aylmer sector. It is forbidden to consume water until further notice. Gatineau adds a distribution point of bottled water for the residents of the affected area.

● | Gatineau will be distributing bottled water at two distribution points: - Centre aquatique Paul-Pelletier (325 chemin d'Aylmer) today until 10 p.m. and tomorrow from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. - Centre communautaire Front (175 rue Front) today from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and tomorrow from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Instructions
● | Residents are not to consume the tap water within the affected perimeter. |
● | The water must not be used for washing or brushing teeth, or for cooking or doing the dishes. |
● | Boiling the water is useless under the circumstances. |
● | Residents should monitor the municipal Web site for updates. |
● | Residents can register to e-mail and text message (SMS) alerts. |
● | Residents with health concerns can contact Info-Santé at 811. |
Reminder of the situation
● | The area is delimited by chemin Eardley, boulevard des Allumettières et and Broad, Bagot, Gordon and North. |
● | Remember that this advisory affects nearly 2000 residences. |
● | A smell of hydrocarbon was detected coming from the water during rehabilitation work on a supercharger on rue Front. |
