Regulatory boil advisory for part of the Buckingham sector

Gatineau July 8, 2021 – Gatineau is issuing a regulatory boil water advisory for approximatively 850 residences for part of the Buckingham sector. Please note that Gatineau regularly monitors water quality pursuant to the Regulation respecting the quality of drinking water (RQEP). This advisory is in effect until further notice.

The boil water advisory is contained in the following area:
- North of avenue Lépine;
- South of Church street;
- East of avenue de Buckingham;
- And on avenue de Buckingham between the north ramp of Highway 50 and avenue Lépine.


Quick facts

Residents and institutions located in the area covered by the boil water advisory must:
- Boil their tap water for at least one minute before consuming it; and
- Continue to do so until Gatineau lifts the boil water advisory.
Once the boil water advisory has been lifted:
- All cold water taps, including water fountains, must be opened and the water left to run for one minute or until it gets cold before it can be consumed; and
- Any ice made from tap water run during the boil water advisory must be discarded.
